We noticed the smaller the country/continent the bigger the earthquakes magnitude we found a recent earthquake in california that was a 5.2 and one by australia that was a 6.2.

Alex, Katrina, Jack said...

we notice that most of the earthquakes happen around the ring of fire. also that most of the earthquakes are in one area and lined up.

Mike R, Robbie, Sarah said...

We noticed that some 6.0 and 5.0 didnt effect some countries, because there were no people.

Shannon, Breanna, Shaban said...

we noticed that a lot of earthquakes do occur around the ring of fire. hence, they are in one area, the most.

Emilio said...

i always wantedto be in a earthquake not a big one but just to feel wat its like for the earth to shake under me as a matter of fact

Laura said...

I noticed that the big earthquakes sometimes dont effect that much because not alot of people live in those areas

Julia said...

I noticed a lot of earthquakes happened by the ring of fire. Out of all the places, why there

Eylon Liani said...

i noticed that earthquakes happen mostly around the ring of fire and where place meets
Are those places the exact epi centers though?

Nick Gee said...

Most of the earthquakes happen along the ring of fire and most are from a week ago.

A lot of earthquakes go on everyday making it seem dangerous to everybody and i also realized that most earthquakes occur mostly at the boundaries of tectonic plates

Eylon Liani said...

if there was an earthquake off the shore that was too small to produce a tsunami
will only the waves get bigger

Alex E. and Laura said...

I have noticed that california and alaska are most effected in north america. The largest one was in califonia at 5.6. Will the center of america ever get a large eathequake? Will the plates ever reverse?

I wonder how many earth quakes occur every day. Can more than one earthquake occur at one time? If more than one could occur at one time, would the areas have to be a certain distance away from eachother? I think earthquakes are very interesting, and were there always earthquakes, even at the age of the dinosaurs?

Dylan Wise said...

I noticed that many earthquakes occur around tectonic plates

James said...

I noticed most earthquakes occur around the ring of fire. There are a lot of earthquakes around us but we do not feel them do to the inner core. I wonder what it feels like to be in a earthquake.

**Emily** said...

Most of the earthquakes happen at the plate boundries and at the ring of fire

christina vergona said...

We noticed that most earthquakes are on the western part of the U.S
and have a magnitude of 3and plus. Some earthquakes were so small to be not felt while others were big enought to be felt. :)

Mexico had a mganitude of 7.1 which was amazing compared to all the other earthquakes. This website link was helpful in feeding us information. :)

we noticed that 1135 people were able to feel an earthquake that was only 2.1 magnitude, and we were really surprised.

Emma, Alice and Adam said...

I cant believe that so many earthquakes can happen in one day and you dont even feel half of them. We did not feel any shaking today at all. It is very interesting how one side of the earth can feel the violent shaking but the other side can feel nothing. Mrs. Dowsons website is really good and imforming.

Alanis, Hee-young, Conner said...

I think that it was amazing to know the magnitude and responces to each earthquake.

Gabriella,Lily,Norell,Lebario said...

We never knew that so many earthquake occur in one day. like the one earthquake that happened today in Mexico with the magnitude with 7.1. it so amazing how this website gives so much great info about science. we can use this website in the future for like projects. :)

Melannie, Michael, Nicholas said...

Melannie says......
There are so many earthquakes that happen it shows how often the plates are moving.
Mike says ...
it looks like all the earthquakes are happening on the west side of the continent. Is it usually like that.
Nick says....
there are lots of earthquakes and most of them are larger than others this shows that the tectonic plates hit harder than others hit. It shows they are not all moving at the same speed.

Amanda, Erin, Nick R and Amine said...

Most of the earthquakes were in California, Alaska and Japan. Most of the earthquakes were too small of a magnitude to be felt.

Hannah, Angela. Nick, mujtaba said...

We saw an Earthquake with a magnitude of 0.0 how is that even possible? :/ How is it an earthquake if there was no shaking at all! >:(

Matt,Jake M,kerri,Liz said...

most of the earthquakes occured by the ring and most of the earthquakes happen on the boreder and they ranged to 0.0 to 6.3.

Sharon, Josh, Liam said...

Wow, a magnitude of 0.0 that is impossible

Mingfay,Amanda, and Ben said...

i don't know what to put for a comment

Rakaab, Ashley, and Jason :-} said...

Most of the earthquakes in the U.S.A are located in the western half. There are a few on the east side. We have realized that there are very few earthquakes in Central US. :-)

Paulina Q. :) said...

A lot of earthquakes happen in Japan, Hawaii etc. these places have suffered a lot from earthquakes, they keep having to re build their communities but it just gets destroye again by another earthquake. In my opinion people shouldn't live in these areas because it is just too dangerous.
